49ers Headed to NFC Championship After Shocking Win Over Packers

The Green Bay Packers were counting on Aaron Rodgers to carry them to NFC Championship Game, but something shocking happened on Saturday night. They abruptly finished the season after a shocking loss to the San Francisco 49ers. The Packers entered the game as a clear favorite, with Rodgers as one of the strongest candidates for the MVP title, but suffered a huge blow in the fourth quarter. Robbie Gould's 45-yard field goal helped the 49ers secure their latest win in the final moments of the game and defeat the Packers 13-10. This loss was especially tough on Rodgers, who’s been discussing the possibility of retiring after this season for quite some time. He was robbed of a possibility to end the season on a high note, and his future with the Packers is still hanging in the air after this loss. "I'm gonna take some time and have conversations with the folks around here, and then take some time away and make a decision before free agency or anything gets going on that front," said Rodgers. The NFC Championship Game will take place on January 30, and it will mark the record 17th championship appearance for the 49ers. They’ll either play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers or the Los Angeles Rams, depending on the outcome of their face-off.
