A.J. Brown Traded from Titans to Eagles in Blockbuster $100 Million Deal

A.J. Brown spent his first three seasons as a pro with Tennessee Titans, but it was just a matter of time before he found a new home. The NFL wide receiver was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles in a blockbuster deal, reportedly worth $100 million for a four-year commitment. Brown told ESPN's Turron Davenport that he wanted to stay with the Titans, but the deal they offered him was too low. Titans general manager Jon Robinson echoed his statement, saying that “the finances impact the decisions”, while the team’s coach Mike Vrabel added that they won’t be able “to keep every single player that [they] draft and develop” as the time goes by. Brown’s departure won’t be easy for the Titans, but the Eagles will certainly benefit from it, and the team’s coach Nick Sirianni is thrilled to welcome him. "We're really excited to have [Brown] on this team. He's a strong man, he's quick for a big guy and he catches everything. There is no projection. You've seen him do it in the NFL for three years now,” said Sirianni in a statement. A.J. Brown was drafted by the Tennessee Titans in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft and he entered the final year of his rookie contract before being traded to the Eagles. His new four-year deal is worth $100 million and includes $57 million guaranteed.
