Antonio Brown “No Longer a Buc” After Throwing Temper Tantrum Against Jets

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers scored a major win against the New York Jets on Sunday, but their victory was overshadowed by Antonio Brown’s meltdown. After throwing a viral temper tantrum during the match, the team’s officials said that the wide receiver is “no longer a Buc.” Tampa Bay was down 10–24 during the third quarter against the Jets, before they made a comeback and won 28-24. Brown wasn’t there to witness their win because he exited the game in a pretty memorable, but not extremely dignified manner. Brown ran off the field midway through the third quarter after showing frustration on the sidelines. Before going back to the locker room, he also took his jersey, pads, gloves, and shirt off and threw them into the stands. Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians later said that he tried to get Brown to join the game, but he refused time and time again before leaving the stadium. Arians also added that "he is no longer a Buc" and refused to discuss his meltdown any further, choosing to focus on the players who went out there and played the game. One of those players was Tom Brady, who tried to keep things civil when discussing Brown’s behavior with The Athletic. "That's obviously a difficult situation. We all love him and care about him deeply. I think everyone should be compassionate and empathetic toward some very difficult things," said Brady.
