Arsenal Extends Premier League Lead with Last-Minute Win Against Manchester United

Manchester United is on top of their game this season, but even they couldn’t stand their ground to Arsenal. The Gunners extended their Premier League lead in a thriller at Emirates Stadium on Sunday thanks to Eddie Nketiah's epic last-minute goal. The latest face-off between Arsenal and United was truly the clash of the titans, and the winner was difficult to call until the very last second. Marcus Rashford gave the Red Devils a well-deserved lead 17 minutes into the game, but Nketiah quickly evened out the score. They entered the second half with a draw, and Bukayo Saka gave Arsenal a 2-1 lead, but their celebration was short-lived. Lisandro Martinez quickly evened out the score, and it seemed the match will end with a draw until Nketiah's dramatic 90th-minute goal gave Arsenal the last-minute victory. The Gunners still sit atop the Premier League table after this win, five points ahead of Manchester City. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is fully aware of how small the margins are in this league, but he believes that his team has what it takes to get across the finish line. "We encourage them to play free-flowing football and there is energy in the team and good things happen. To do it repeatedly against big teams, the way we played today, gives me a lot of positivity for the future,” said Arteta.
