Ayo Dosunmu Signs Three-Year $21 Million Deal with Chicago Bulls

There’s been a lot of uncertainty surrounding Ayo Dosunmu’s future in the NBA, but we finally know where he’ll be next season. The 23-year-old guard signed a three-year deal with the Chicago Bulls, reportedly worth $21 million. Before reaching this agreement, Dosunmu received a $5.2-million qualifying offer from the Bulls as a restricted free agent, but he didn’t agree to it right away. With the team remaining $8 million below the luxury tax threshold, they eventually decided to re-sing Dosunmu because his new contract fit into their overall financial strategy. Dosunmu has been a part of the Bulls roaster since signing his rookie contract in 2021. He was selected by the Bulls as the 38th overall pick and averaged 8.7 points, 2.9 assists, and 2.3 boards with his hometown NBA team. Even before signing an extension with the Bulls, Dosunmu said he was determined to improve his play and help them become better. “At the end of the day, I just have to come out here and try to do whatever I can to help the team win. When I’m on the court, I try to do that. That’s always been my motto. I’m going to continue to learn. I’m going to continue to get better,” said Dosunmu.
