Charles Leclerc Races to An Easy Win at Australian Grand Prix

It’s Charles Leclerc’s world and we’re just living in it! After opening this year’s Formula 1 season with a victory at the Bahrain Grand Prix, he proved his domination once again by scoring an easy win at the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne on Sunday. Leclerc entered the race as the obvious favorite after taking the pole position, and he didn’t have much trouble coming out victorious. Max Verstappen was his top competitor in this race, but Leclerc’s path to victory was pretty clear after he retired due to a technical failure on his Red Bull. Leclerc left his competition in the dust and easily took the top spot. Sergio Pérez took second place for Red Bull, while Mercedes drivers George Russell and Lewis Hamilton finished the race in third and fourth place. Leclerc emerged as a clear World Championship favorite following two Grand Prix wins this season, but he knows he’s still got a long way to go. “Obviously we are only at the third race so it’s difficult to think about the championship… If it does then we probably have chances for the championship which obviously makes me smile after last two years have been difficult for the team and also for myself,” said Leclerc.
