Charlotte Hornets Score Season High 158 Points Against Indiana Pacers

The Charlotte Hornets were on fire playing against the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday night, and they managed to set a major milestone along the way. They broke the single-game scoring record for this season with their epic 158-126 win. It was a big night for the game’s top scorer Kelly Oubre Jr. who led the Hornets to their latest win with career-high 39 points. That’s not the only impressive thing about his performance – he also netted a career-best ten 3-pointers on Wednesday. “Tonight we kind of got in that zone in the third quarter and we didn’t look back. None of us were going for numbers today. We just wanted to play hard,” said Oubre after the game. He had great support in LaMelo Ball, who added his fourth triple-double of the season with 29 points, 13 assists, and 10 rebounds. A total of four Hornets players topped the 20-point mark against Pacers, including Terry Rozier and Myles Bridges. The Memphis Grizzlies previously held the point record for the 2021-2022 season when they trampled over the Oklahoma City Thunder 152-79 in December. As for the Hornets, their 158-point victory also marks the franchise single-game record for most points, while Oubre tied the franchise record for made 3-pointers in a single game.
