Cleveland Browns Overcome Injuries to Defeat Denver Broncos

The Cleveland Browns entered their latest game several key players short due to injuries, but that didn’t stop them from coming out victorious. Things were pretty tense until the very last moment, but they managed to beat the Denver Broncos 17-14 on Thursday night. D'Ernest Johnson made his first career start after Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt were benched due to injuries, and he was the breakout star of the match. After scoring a 4-yard touchdown run, Johnson went on to finish with 146 yards, leading his team to victory. Coaches and fellow players had nothing but words of praise for Johnson, and superstar quarterback Case Keenum applauded his performance after the match. “A guy like him, who the locker room loves and everybody loves… To come in here and having an incredible night like that and make some big time plays for us on a national stage, very pumped for him. It was exciting,” Keenum told reporters. This game served as Keenum’s first start in two years, as he stepped in for the fellow quarterback Baker Mayfield, who’s currently dealing with a serious shoulder injury. Mayfield is hoping his health will improve enough in the coming days so he can play against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but there’s a chance he could sit out more games.
