Colin Kaepernick Reportedly Completing Workouts with Las Vegas Raiders

Colin Kaepernick hasn’t thrown a pass since 2016, but it seems he’s plotting his NFL comeback. The former San Francisco 49ers quarterback reportedly started working out for the Las Vegas Raiders, according to ESPN’s senior NFL insider Adam Schefter. This report comes about a month after the Raiders owner Mark Davis said that he believes in Kaepernick and that he wants him on his team. "He deserves every chance in the world to become a quarterback in the National Football League. I still stand by it. If our coaches and general manager want to bring him in or want him to be the quarterback on this team, I would welcome him with open arms," said Davis. Kaepernick led the 49ers to their first Super Bowl appearance since 1994 back in the 2012 season, but they eventually lost to the Baltimore Ravens. He left the team in 2016 after his decision to kneel during the national anthem at the start of NFL games in protest of racial inequality and police brutality received widespread attention. Kaepernick went on to become a free agent but struggled to find a new team to sign him. He filed a grievance against the NFL in 2017, accusing its owners of colluding to keep him out of the league, but later withdrew the lawsuit and reached a confidential settlement.
