Erling Haaland Sets New Scoring Record For a Premier League Player

Erling Haaland left us in awe with each game he played this season, and he was on top of this game during Manchester City's latest face-off with Bayern Munich. He managed to score his 45th goal this season to set a new scoring record for a Premier League player. Man City is one step closer to reaching the Champions League semi-finals after overpowering Bayern Munich at Etihad Stadium on Tuesday. Rodri opened the scoring for the Premier League club in the first half, followed by goals from Bernardo Silva and Erling Haaland. Haaland led Man City to their 3-0 win against Munich and set another major record along the way. This marks his 45th goal of the season, making him the highest scorer among the Premier League players across all competitions in a single season. Despite defeating Bayern by three goals, Man City’s manager Pep Guardiola said he was “destroyed” by this match, adding he feels like he aged 10 more years. "I know exactly what you have to do there [in Munich]. If you don't perform really well, they are able to score one, two, three. I know that. The players know that. It's an incredible result, but we have to do our game with huge, huge personality," he said post-match.
