Ferrari's Carlos Sainz Jr. Ends Red Bull’s Winning Streak at Singapore Grand Prix

Red Bull hasn’t dropped a single race since the start of the season, but their winning streak eventually had to come to an end. They dropped the ball at the Singapore Grand Prix, where Ferrari's Carlos Sainz Jr. emerged as a champion, ending Red Bull’s impressive winning run. Red Bull went into the weekend having won a record-breaking 15 races in a row – including 10 consecutive wins for their star driver Max Verstappen. They were on a quest to extend their record in Singapore until Ferrari's Carlos Sainz Jr. stopped them in their track. Red Bull’s chances weren’t looking great from the get-go, with Verstappen starting in 11th place. He managed to fight back to fifth place, but that wasn’t enough to defeat Sainz Jr., who wasn’t letting go of his lead after taking pole position. Sainz Jr. said he’s over the moon following his win in Singapore, adding he felt like he was in the right head-space to do whatever he wanted to do during this race. "We nailed the weekend, we nailed the race and we did everything we had to do, and we did it perfect. We brought home P1 and I'm sure the whole of Italy and the whole of Ferrari are going to be proud and happy today,” Sainz Jr. told the reporters post-race.
