Jake Paul Wins His Sixth Fight As Professional Boxer Against Anderson Silva

When Jake Paul first decided to give the professional box a chance, most people took him as a joke – but no one is laughing now. His undefeated strike continues with his sixth win as a pro, which saw him take down none other than the UFC legend Anderson Silva. “The Problem Child” knocked down the 47-year-old Brazilian in the last of the eight rounds at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona. This marked just the second time Silva was knocked down in the ring, since his first professional boxing match in 1998. The YouTube star-turned-boxer scored 77-74, 78-73, 78-73 from the judges, and said it was surreal to defeat Silva after putting a lot of hard work into this fight. "I want to say thank you to Anderson - he inspired me to be great. Without him, we wouldn't have a fight this year. I have nothing but respect for him. I started boxing two and a half years ago and I've just beaten one of the best strikers ever," said Paul. Silva was the UFC middleweight champion from 2006 to 2013, with a record 16 consecutive victories. Following the fight, he told reporters that he trained hard and did his best, but that it’s tough to fight a young kid and that people need to respect Paul a little bit more.
