Joel Embiid Scores 43 Points to Lead Philadelphia 76ers Past Chicago Bulls

Two of the Eastern Conference’s top teams faced each other on Monday night, but only one could come out victorious. The Chicago Bulls gave it their all, but they couldn’t stand their ground to the Philadelphia 76ers, who were unstoppable thanks to Joel Embiid. The five-time All-Star finished the game with 43 points and 14 rebounds, making 15 of 27 field goals and 12 of 16 free throws. He had great support in the new teammate James Harden, who added 16 points and 14 assists, and Tyrese Maxey, who finished the game with 17 points and 4 assists. While discussing his performance against the Bulls, Embiid said he didn’t make too many outside shots like he usually does because it’s important to approach each game differently. “It's all about really figuring out by the feel, and tonight I felt like their bigs, they were either too high or too aggressive, so it gave me a free lane to attack the basket, which caused them to foul a lot,” explained Embiid. The 76ers’ 121-106 win over the Bulls comes shortly after they dropped the game against the Miami Heat on Saturday night. Their recent track record has been pretty impressive otherwise, and they’ll have another chance to prove themselves against the Brooklyn Nets on Friday.
