Lakers on the Verge of Losing Western Conference Finals to Nuggets After Game 3 Defeat

The Western Conference Finals are in full swing right now, and the Denver Nuggets are a clear front-runner for the title. They scored another dominant win against the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 3, and they’re now just a game away from making it to the NBA Finals. After two narrow victories against the Lakers in Games 1 and 2, the Nuggets scored their third win in a row on Saturday night. They handed the Lakers their first home loss in almost two months and moved to the brink of their first NBA Finals appearance with a dominant 119-108 victory. It was a big night for Jamal Murray, who helped his side secure this victory by scoring 37 points. He had great support from the two-time MVP Nikola Jokic, who finished the game with 24 points and eight assists for the Nuggets. The Lakers are now just one game away from losing the Western Conference Finals, but the team’s coach Darvin Ham is still keeping his hopes up. “They've been at the top of the food chain for a reason, and have a plethora of guys that can hurt you, as was on full display tonight. But you know, circumstances are what they are. Difficult, but not impossible,” he said post-match. The Eastern Conference Finals are being played between the Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat, and Miami is currently in a 3-0 lead.
