Lando Norris Wins His First Formula 1 Title at Miami Grand Prix

Lando Norris has been trying to make a name for himself for quite some time, and his moment is finally here. McLaren’s driver managed to stop Red Bull’s Max Verstappen in his tracks at the Miami Grand Prix, winning his first Formula 1 title along the way. Despite starting from fifth on the grid, Norris managed to make an epic comeback because he was able to make a pit stop when the safety car was deployed. This helped him retain his lead, and Verstappen was unable to keep pace with him when the race restarted, letting him win by nearly eight seconds. Norris finally managed to take his maiden Grand Prix win on his 110th race start, and his patience certainly paid off. "What a race. It’s been a long time coming, but we’ve finally managed to do it. I’m so happy for the whole team, and what we’ve achieved together... I’ve always believed in them, and they’ve always had faith in me, and today we’ve really justified that,” Norris told the reporters. Norris’s wait for his first Formula 1 title was so long that he set a major record along the way. He tied Patrick Depailler, Mika Häkkinen, Eddie Irvine, and Jean Alesi for the most podium finishes before taking the first win with 15.
