LeBron James Nets 36 Points to Lead Lakers to OT Win Over Raptors

This season was quite disastrous for the Los Angeles Lakers so far, so it’s always comforting to see them score a win. They managed to end their latest losing streak by beating the Toronto Raptors 128-123 on Friday night, mostly thanks to LeBron James’ epic performance. James was the game’s top scorer with a total of 36 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists. To make the whole thing even more impressive, he scored 19 of his point in the fourth quarter and wasn’t letting his guard down once the game entered overtime. “To be able to come into a very hostile environment and win a basketball game, and the way we won it, was big for our team. We needed literally every minute, all 53 of them, to accomplish that,” said James after the game. He had great support in Russell Westbrook, who finished the game with 22 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists. This marks the tenth triple-double of the season for the veteran player. It was also a big night for Wenyen Gabriel with 17 points and Avery Bradley with 14. This win ended the Lakers’ 11-game road losing streak that started on January 25 in Brooklyn. They’ll have a chance to prove their worth again in the upcoming game against the Washington Wizards.
