LeBron James Scores Season-High 56 Points to Lead Lakers Past Warriors

The Los Angeles Lakers haven’t really been on top of their game this season, but LeBron James gave them a comeback they desperately needed on Saturday night. He scored 56 points to lead the Lakers past the Golden State Warriors, ending the four-game losing streak. Even Stephen Curry couldn’t stand his ground to James, who entered the game with a vengeance. This was the first face-off between two teams since the Lakers lost out to the Warriors by two points on February 13th, and they desperately needed a win this time. That desperation eventually inspired the Lakers to give it their all on the basketball court, according to James, and it was a blast to finally get a win at home after four straight defeats. "For us to get a win like this in front of our home fans – they deserve it. We haven't played like much of anything of late so it's good to get a win like that in front of them," said James after the game. James finished the game with season-high 56 points, in addition to 10 rebounds and three assists. Stephen Curry did his best to help the Warriors stand their ground, but couldn’t stop the King in his tracks and eventually finished the game with 30 points.
