Lewis Hamilton Denies Rumors That He Reached Out to Red Bull

Formula 1 fans started wondering if Lewis Hamilton would shift his allegiance after it was reported he reached out to Red Bull, but he was quick to deny these rumors. The seven-time World Champion denied Christian Horner’s claims that he held talks with Red Bull before resigning with Mercedes. The Daily Mail recently published an exclusive report claiming that Hamilton held talks with Red Bull and Ferrari about joining them before signing a two-year extension with Mercedes in August. The explosive claims emerged during an interview with Red Bull team principal Christian Horner, who said Hamilton’s team reached out a few times. Hamilton was as shocked after hearing these claims as the rest of us, and he firmly denied the rumors while speaking with reporters ahead of the season finale in Abu Dhabi. “I haven’t spoken to Christian for years and no one from my team has… I’ve checked with everyone, no one from my team has reached out to him. However, he had reached out to me about meeting up at the end of the season,” said Hamilton. Hamilton has been with Mercedes since 2013, and he’s expected to keep driving for them until at least 2025 after signing a £100 million two-year extension with the team back in August.
