Lucas Glover Scores Back-To-Back Victory at FedEx St. Jude Championship

The last few years have been quite rocky for Lucas Glover, but he just entered his comeback era! Shortly after kicking off this month with an epic win at the Wyndham Championship, he scored a second back-to-back victory at the FedEx St. Jude Championship. Just when everyone thought that his best years are behind him, Glover proved to the world that he was still a force to be reckoned with by defeating Patrick Cantlay in a play-off to win the St Jude Championship. Tommy Fleetwood and Rory McIlroy tied for the third spot after finishing 14-under. This triumph is a huge deal for the 43-year-old Glover, who made history as only the third player in his 40s to win back-to-back weeks on PGA Tour in the last 25 years. “Maybe I'm really stubborn. You know, 10 years up until this run, I've underachieved and knew it. It was all because of putting. It was just believing in myself, and (being) hard-headed and stubborn enough to not give up. It took something drastic to figure it out, but it's worked,” he said after his win. Glover was outside the top 100 in the FedExCup just two weeks ago, but he’ll now move to the no. 30 spot in the world rankings and enter the upcoming BMW Championship ranked fourth in the standings.
