Luka Doncic Scores 47 Points, Helping Mavs End Rockets’ 11-Game Streak

The Houston Rockets played the past 11 games without a loss, but they finally ran out of luck on Sunday night. Luka Doncic scored 47 points, helping the Dallas Mavericks win their seventh straight game and end the Rockets’ 11-game winning streak. Doncic scored 22 in the first quarter alone, and the Rockets struggled to stop him in his tracks as the game went on. He eventually led the Mavs to a 126-107 victory after finishing the game with 47 points, 12 rebounds, and seven assists. He had great support from Kyrie Irving, who added 24 points and seven assists. Dallas coach Jason Kidd praised Doncic after a match, saying his amazing performance on Sunday night is a perfect reminder that he’s one of the best players in the league. “He came out and showed why he’s one of the best in the world. He set the tone offensively… He put the ball in the basket, was able to read and play the defense we saw tonight. It’s up to him to do his job, and he did it at a high level tonight,” said Kidd. The Dallas Mavericks will get a chance to continue their winning streak on Tuesday, when they’ll meet the Golden State Warriors.
