Man City Beat Bayern Munich to Reach Champions League Semi-Finals

The last face-off between Manchester City and Bayern Munich ended in a draw but still marked a huge win for the Premier League team. Man City proceeded to the Champions League semi-final after holding off Bayern in the second leg of the quarter-finals. Bayern needed a miracle to make a comeback from a disappointing 3-0 first-leg loss to Man City, but their hopes were destroyed when Erling Haaland gave his side a 1-0 lead. Joshua Kimmich scored an 83rd-minute penalty for Munich, but this goal was eventually just a consolation prize that led his team to a 1-1 draw. Man City will now have to beat the defending champions Real Madrid for a chance to make it to the final, and their manager Pep Guardiola isn’t expecting an easy fight. “What we have done is incredible - three Champions League semi-finals. I think all the clubs around the world had the feeling that if you want to win the competition, you have to beat Real Madrid. Before it was Barcelona, now it's Real Madrid," said Guardiola. Man City booked a rematch with Real after losing to them in the same round of the competition last year. The second semi-finals will be played between Milan and Inter Milan, and the winners will face in the final on June 10 at Atatürk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul.
