Man City Continues Their Domination with 4-1 Thrashing of Liverpool

Manchester City is one of the front-runners for the Premier League title this year, and they cemented their domination this weekend. Their latest match with Liverpool was supposed to be the clash of the titans, but it ended with a 4-1 thrashing of the Reds on Saturday night. Luck seemed to be on Liverpool’s side in the beginning, and Mohamed Salah gave them a one-goal lead 17 minutes into the game. It was all downhill from there, and Man City’s Julian Alvarez, Kevin de Bruyne, Ilkay Gundogan, and Jack Grealish helped their team make a comeback and eventually win 4-1. Even after their latest victory, Man City is still not the leader in the Premier League rankings. Arsenal is eight points ahead following their seventh consecutive win in the Premier League after defeating Leeds United 4-1 at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday night. Man City is still in a strong position, having won four of the previous five Premier League titles, but their manager Pep Guardiola doesn’t think this gives them an upper hand in the current race. “I’d prefer to be in Arsenal’s position in the Premier League than the one we have. The advantage is that they are eight points in front of us – this is the real advantage. The past is the past, experience doesn’t count,” said Guardiola.
