Manchester City Secures Premier League Title on Dramatic Final Day

The race for the Premier League title was unpredictable until the very last moment, but Manchester City eventually came out victorious. They managed to secure the title by a single point after making a glorious comeback against Aston Villa on Sunday night. Man City was down on their luck for most of their match with Villa, but they made a glorious comeback in the last 14 minutes. They went from losing 0-2 to scoring a 3-2 win after Ilkay Gundogan and Rodri scored a total of three goals for the team in just five minutes. Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola described the team’s players as legends and said they’re “absolutely eternal in this club” after the epic victory on Sunday night. "The last game is always special – a lot of emotion. Aston Villa gave everything but the first goal changed everything. We had to handle it. Winning at home in front of our people is the best… It was the best atmosphere I have ever lived since I am here,” said Guardiola. Guardiola also took a moment to congratulate Liverpool, their biggest opponent this season, saying that the “magnitude of the achievement is related to the magnitude of [their] rival”. Man City were crowned as Premier League champions after finishing the season with 93 points, but Liverpool was right behind with 92.
