Manchester United Close to Signing a Deal with Real Madrid’s Casemiro

After almost a decade with Real Madrid, Brazilian midfielder Casemiro is getting ready to shift his alliance. He’s on the cusp of signing a new deal with Manchester United after the Premier League club offered €60 million plus add-ons for his transfer. The Red Devils are waiting for Real Madrid to officially accept the offer, but Casemiro’s transfer is almost a done deal. They’re cashing out €60 million for a four-year deal with the star midfielder, with a potential €10 million in add-ons and an option to extend the deal for another year. Casemiro’s transfer comes as a huge shocker because he repeatedly said that he plans to stay in Madrid for foreseeable future, most recently in an interview with the Brazilian program “Grande Círculo” back in July. “I have a contract with Real Madrid until 2025. We know that no player is non-transferable, but today it is not a reality for me. My thought is only to stay at Real Madrid.” Manchester United’s start of the season has been pretty catastrophic, and they’re trying to make a comeback by reinforcing their midfield. Casemiro would be a great addition to the Red Devils because he helped Madrid score three La Liga titles and five Champions Leagues since joining the team in 2013.
