Manchester United Hits Rock Bottom with Humiliating 4-0 Loss to Brentford

Last season has been pretty disastrous for Manchester United, and it seems things are about to get worse. The Red Devils hit a new low on Saturday with a humiliating 4-0 loss to Brentford that left United’s fans alarmed and worried about the team’s future. Two games into the new Premiere League season, Manchester sits at the bottom of the table with zero points, and their second match was even more disastrous than the first. It took just 35 minutes for Brentford to score four goals, and the Red Devils spent the rest of the match fighting for a comeback that never came. Josh Dasilva opened the scoring at Gtech Community Stadium 10 minutes into the game, and several of his teammates quickly followed suit. Mathias Jensen, Ben Mee, and Bryan Mbeumo all scored goals for Brentford in the first half. This marks United's seventh loss in a row, and their manager Erik ten Hag took responsibility for the team’s poor performance and acknowledged they’re in a difficult position right now. "We are, as a team, in a difficult process. You expect a different start. It's not what we expected. We need new players. We need quality players. We are working on that and we'll do everything to convince them to come," he told Sky Sports.
