Manchester United Suffer Humiliating 7-0 Defeat to Liverpool

Manchester United have been doing everything in their power to make a comeback this season, but Liverpool single-handedly ruined all their hard work on Sunday night. They humiliated the Red Devils by handing them an embarrassing 7-0 loss in their latest face-off at Anfield. Just when everyone wrote them off, Liverpool returned stronger than ever in this match and proved they’re still a force to be reckoned with. They significantly improved their Premier League ranking with a string of recent wins, but none of them compares to Sunday’s thrashing of Manchester United. The winner was pretty difficult to call in the first half, and Cody Gakpo scored a sole goal for Liverpool. With 1-0 on the scoreboard, it seemed like Manchester United could still make a comeback, but things came crashing down in the second half. Darwin Nunez and Cody Gakpo scored two more goals, with just three minutes between them, and things only got wilder from there. Liverpool eventually won 7-0, with Nunez and Roberto Firmino netting one more goal each. Mohamed Salah scored two more and wrote his name in the history books as Liverpool’s record Premier League scorer with 129 goals. Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said he was proud of the team’s "super-dominant" performance, but United’s Erik ten Hag was singing a different tune and described their loss as unacceptable. “We didn’t play as a team. It was unprofessional… I am surprised because I have seen the last weeks and months this team is resilient and has a winning attitude… I’m really disappointed and angry about it. It is a reality check. We have to take this strong,” said Ten Hag post-match.
