Max Verstappen Makes an Epic Comeback at Japanese Grand Prix

Only a week after ending his winning streak in Singapore, Max Verstappen is back and better than ever! The defending World Champion made an epic comeback at the Japanese Grand Prix and regained his Formula 1 domination with another statement win for Red Bull. After dropping the ball at the Singapore Grand Prix – the first race to be won by a team other than Red Bull this season – Verstappen was on top of his game in Japan. He was obviously out for revenge and was the fastest driver in every practice and qualifying session, easily crushing the competition on Sunday. The Dutchman scored his 13th victory in 16 races this season, and he’s on the verge of winning another Formula 1 title after his dominant performance in Japan. He also set a record-breaking run of 10 consecutive wins this season before losing to Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz Jr. in Singapore. Red Bull boss Christian Horner said they never dreamt about having a season like this and praised Verstappen for keeping the momentum going after facing many challenges along the way. “Max is absolutely at the top of the game, he is the best driver in F1 at this point in time. He has this inner hunger and determination and huge ability but he channels it and he does not get distracted by some of the trappings of F1, he is an out and out racer,” said Horner post-race.
