Odell Beckham Jr. Joins Los Angeles Rams As Free Agent

It was quite a shocker to see the Cleveland Browns release Odell Beckham Jr. last week, but he already found a new home. The NFL superstar signed a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Rams after hitting free agency for the first time in his career. Odell Beckham Jr. joined the Browns in 2019, but his time on the team was plagued with injuries. He was excused from two consecutive practices before being released, and the viral videos criticizing the way he’s being used in the Browns offense also didn’t help his case. The Rams closed the deal with OBJ shortly after signing star pass-rusher Von Miller, securing two high-profile players in just two weeks. The team’s quarterback Matthew Stafford has high hopes for Beckham Jr. and believes he can contribute a lot to the team. "It's an opportunity for us as a team, it's an opportunity for him to come in here and prove himself to us. What our room is about in the receiver room is pretty special. I know he'll fit right in and continue to get better and hopefully help us as a team," Stafford told ESPN. Unless his deal is extended, Beckham Jr. will stay with the Rams for a year as a free agent. According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, his deal is worth up to $4.25 million, with a $500,000 signing bonus and $750,000 in salary for the rest of the season.
