Packers Hold Off Buccaneers and Brady in Their First Face-Off This Season

Despite failing to make it to the Super Bowl last year, the Green Bay Packers and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers entered this NFL season as two of the favorites for the title. Their first face-off was one for the books, and the Packers managed to hold off the Bucs led by Tom Brady. Despite Brady’s best efforts, Aaron Rodgers has proven himself as the superior quarterback in this game. He threw for 255 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Packers to the 14-12 victory in their first face-off since Tampa Bay won the NFC championship game two seasons ago. Rodgers lost three of the previous four previous head-to-head matchups with Brady and praised his performance after the Packers latest victory. “I have a ton of respect for him. He’s been a trailblazer at the position for a long time. I’ve had a lot of fun competing against Tom over the years and it’s always nice to come out on top,” said Rodgers after the match. The future is looking bright for the Packers, and they’re set to host the New England Patriots next Sunday. The Buccaneers will also remain at home on Sunday night and try to defeat the Kansas City Chiefs, in the first face-off between Brady and Patrick Mahomes since the Super Bowl LV.
