Patrick Mahomes Believes That Kansas City Chiefs Can Repeat Their Super Bowl Win

The Kansas City Chiefs delivered an epic victory at this year’s Super Bowl, and Patrick Mahomes is certain they can do it again. The superstar quarterback is impressed by their recent progress in the AFC and believes they can build towards a rare Super Bowl repeat. Mahomes recently discussed the team’s plans for the next season with NFL.com's Michael Baca. He said he’s confident they can win Super Bowl again because they have a special group of players who are committed to carrying out the Chiefs’ legacy. "Last year and it was amazing, but we still have a lot of young guys, and we want to continue to get better and better… So you want to continue to build and build and not be satisfied with what we did last year and see if we can take that next step," said Mahomes. He also briefly addressed the ankle injury that gave him trouble throughout the playoffs. Mahomes said he “feels great” coming into the new season, but admitted he feels “a little timid about running and cutting” going into the minicamp. Mahomes was named the Super Bowl MVP after helping the Chiefs defeat the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFL finale this winter. They’re now set to play their first match of the new season against the Detroit Lions on September 7.
