Quinnen Williams Signs $96 Million Extension with New York Jets

After being drafted by the New York Jets four years ago, Quinnen Williams’ future with this organization is looking bright. The All-Pro defensive tackle signed a four-year extension with the Jets, reportedly worth $96 million. Williams has come a long way since being drafted by the Jets as the third overall pick in 2019. He was entering the final year of his rookie contract, with a base salary of $9.59 million, and decided to seize the moment and secure a lucrative extension. His new $96-million deal includes $66 million guaranteed, and it’s the second-largest contract ever for a defensive tackle in average annual salary. Williams can’t wait to get back to work after signing this extension and take the Jets to new heights. "The success of this organization is beyond important to me and completing this deal allows me to turn all my attention to positively impacting that. I am thrilled to put forth my best efforts alongside my brothers to get prepared for this season ahead of us," said Williams in a statement. Chairman Woody Johnson described Williams as the epitome of a Jet, adding that his commitment to this organization and its fans is “consistently on display in his play, in his preparation, and in his work serving those in this area.”
