Rams Easily Beat Cardinals in Matthew Stafford’s First Playoff Win

NFL’s wild-card round is in the full swing right now, and Monday night’s matchup saw the Los Angeles Rams easily beat the Arizona Cardinals 34-11. Matthew Stafford was the MVP of the game, and this marked the first playoff victory of his career. It took 13 years and one major trade for Stafford to reach his first playoff, but he finally got it done. He passed for 202 yards and two touchdowns, leading the Rams to their latest win. He had great support in Odell Beckham Jr. and Cooper Kupp, who both made touchdown catches on Monday night. Despite being one of the most accomplished quarterbacks of his generation, Stafford failed to score a playoff win during his time with the Detroit Lions. He joined the Rams this season, and the team’s coach Sean McVay praised him for leading the way. “He’s still the same great player to me, and he always was before this game. I think it's good so you guys don’t have to talk about that anymore. So pleased be able to do this with him. He’s our leader out there, and we wouldn’t be here without him,” said McVay. The Rams will face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday night, for a chance to secure a spot in the NFC championship game.
