Ronnie O'Sullivan Beats Judd Trump To Win Champion of Champions

The finale of this year’s Champion of Champions featured a face-off between two snooker titans, but only one could come out victorious. Ronnie O'Sullivan managed to beat defending champion Judd Trump to win his fourth title at this tournament. O'Sullivan was on fire since the beginning of the game and it seemed he’ll score an easy victory after being in a 6-1 lead. Everything changed when Trump managed to fight back to 7-6, but O'Sullivan wasn’t backing down and he took the final three frames to claim a 10-6 win against the fellow Englishman. “Even when I was 6-1 up I never once thought about the lead because I know what Judd is like, he can come out and do what he done, pull me back to 7-6, but I was just pleased how I dug in at the end there,” said O'Sullivan after his victory. Trump said he was disappointed by his loss but praised O'Sullivan’s amazing performance, adding he put him under a lot of pressure by scoring very heavily throughout the game. O'Sullivan previously won the Champion of Champions in 2013, 2014, and 2018, racking up more trophies than any other player in history. This year’s tournament took place at the University of Bolton Stadium in Bolton, England and the winner walked away with £150,000 in prize money.
