Seattle Kraken Heading to the Playoffs For the First Time in History

The Seattle Kraken is one of the youngest teams in the NHL, but they’re showing a lot of promise. They managed to clinch their very first postseason berth during their second season, heading to the playoffs for the first time in franchise history. Seattle managed to book their ticket to the postseason after beating Arizona Coyotes on Thursday night. They defeated them 4-2 thanks to the goals scored by Jared McCann, Jordan Eberle, Matty Beniers, and Vince Dunn. Philipp Grubauer also deserves some credit for stopping 27 shots to help his team earn the win. Kraken coach Dave Hakstol said he wants the players to fully embrace this big moment because they worked really hard to be in this position and finally make it to the playoffs. “The group in here earned it. They earned it from day one. And all the way through tonight, finishing off the two points tonight that solidifies it for us. That speaks to everybody and the character and the work ethic in the dressing room,” said Hakstol post-match. The Seattle Kraken have been founded in 2021, and they’re one of the NHL’s youngest teams. Their first season was pretty messy, and they ended up in the last place in the Pacific Division but managed to make a major improvement during their second season.
