Sergio Pérez Scores His Second Win This Season at Singapore Grand Prix

This year’s Singapore Grand Prix was one wild ride, with drivers riding through frustrating wet-dry conditions for a chance to lift the trophy. Sergio Pérez came out victorious, scoring his second win this season and putting Max Verstappen’s title hopes on hold. Pérez finish first ahead of Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz Jr., but it was a tough race for all involved and probably the most unpredictable one this season. Max Verstappen, who entered the race as one of the favorites finished seventh, while Lewis Hamilton clinched a disappointing ninth spot. Despite Verstappen’s debacle under the lights of Marina Bay, it was a good day for Red Bull Racing overall. Pérez led the team to another Grand Prix win this time around, his second this season after Monaco Grand Prix. "It was certainly my best performance, I controlled the race. The last few laps were so intense I didn't feel it that much in the car but when I got out I felt it. I gave everything for the win today… All in all a fantastic day," said Pérez post-race. Despite his triumph in Singapore, his teammate Verstappen remains the front-runner for the World Championship title. He’s leading the way with Max Verstappen, followed by Charles Leclerc with 237, while Pérez is just two points behind after his latest win.
