Stephen Curry Helps Golden State Warriors Eliminate Denver Nuggets

It’s been a while since Stephen Curry made it to the Golden State Warriors’ starting lineup, but his comeback was worth the wait. Curry helped the Warriors score another win in a nail-biting face-off against the Denver Nuggets, putting an end to their NBA title hopes. The Warriors eliminated the Nuggets in Game 5 of their first-round playoff series, but it was a close call. Despite scoring a 102-98 victory, the Warriors struggled until the very last moment, and their win can be credited to an epic comeback in the fourth quarter. Curry alone netted 11 points in the fourth quarter alone, bringing his total to 30 points, five rebounds, and five assists in 38 minutes he spent on the court. The Nuggets’ MVP Nikola Jokic also finished the game with 30 points, including 12 points scored in the final 3:46, but it just wasn’t enough to give his team a win they desperately needed. This marks the Warriors’ first playoff series win in over two years, and Curry said it feels great to finally find success in the postseason. “It means a lot. You don’t ever take it for granted. We haven't been there in a while and we just wanted it so bad… But we still remember how to do it, which is a good feeling,” said Curry after the game.
