Suns First NBA Team to Reach 30 Wins This Season After Beating Clippers

The Phoenix Suns have been on fire since the beginning of the season, and their latest game has reminded us they’re still going strong. The Suns defeated the LA Clippers 106-89 on Thursday night, becoming the first NBA team to reach 30 wins this season. This wasn’t an easy win for the Suns, with the Clippers taking the lead several times throughout the game. Marcus Morris Sr. scored season-high 26 points for the Clippers, more than any player for the Suns. Cam Johnson netted a career-best 24 points, followed by Jalen Smith with 19, to help the Phoenix Suns score their 30th win this season. It was also a big night for Chris Paul, who had a triple-double with 14 points. His performance in the fourth quarter, including a crucial 3-pointer, helped the Suns secure their latest victory, and here’s how he explains their winning strategy. "Some teams' biggest issue is that they don't know what they want to run or who they want to go to down the stretch. I think we have a good sense of that. We know what our go-to plays are," said Paul. The Suns’ track record is especially impressive because they’ve been playing without several key players throughout the season. Most notably, their All-Star guard Devin Booker recently missed seven straight games with a left hamstring strain.
