T-Wolves Score Their First Playoff Series Win in 20 Years

The Minnesota Timberwolves entered the first round of the playoffs as one of the underdogs and quickly exceeded everyone’s expectations. They’re the first team to reach the Western Conference semi-finals after beating the Phoenix Suns in just four games. T-Wolves were on top of their game against the Suns, and their latest face-off on Sunday night resulted in a 122-116 victory. It marks their fourth win against Phoenix, and it effectively sent them straight to the conference semi-finals, marking their first series win in 20 years. Minnesota owes their latest victory to their star guard, Anthony Edwards, who put on another show in Game 4. Despite the fact that the Sun’s Devin Booker was the game’s top scorer with 49 points, Edwards managed to lead his team to the victory with 40 points, nine rebounds, and six assists. The Timberwolves came out victorious despite their coach, Chris Finch, leaving the game after rupturing the patellar tendon in his right knee. He suffered the injury after being involved in a collision with Timberwolves guard Mike Conley in the fourth quarter. T-Wolves will face the last year’s champions, the Denver Nuggets, in the Western Conference semi-finals after they defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 4-1.
