Tiger Woods & Rory McIlroy Launching Their Own High-Tech Golf League

Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy are two of the biggest golf legends of their generation, and they came together to create something amazing. The two golf champions are starting a high-tech golf league aimed at younger fans, set to kick off in 2024. The duo’s newly launched league will be called TGL, and it will be run by their company TMRW Sports. The matches are expected to take place in a custom-built arena that uses technology to recreate the experience of sitting court-side and watching your favorite teams play. "We all know what it's like to be in a football stadium or a basketball arena where you can watch every play… It's something that inherently isn't possible in traditional golf – and an aspect of TGL that will set it apart and appeal to a new generation of fans," said Woods in a statement. McIlroy echoed his words, adding that TGL will widen the appeal of golf to younger and more diverse fans and serve as another avenue to introduce people to the game they both love. Woods and McIlroy both took a firm stance against LIV Golf in recent months, and the launch of their own TGL league is meant to give a boost to the PGA Tour as it struggles to keep its star players on board.
