Tyler Higbee Signs $27 Million Extension with Los Angeles Rams

Tyler Higbee has been with the Los Angeles Rams since the very start of his NFL career, and he’s not going anywhere! The 30-year-old tight end signed a two-year contract extension with his current team, reportedly worth $27 million. Higbee was in the final year of his contract with the Rams before they agreed to sign an extension. His new deal comes with $17 million guaranteed and is worth a maximum of $30.5 million, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero. Higbee joined the Los Angeles Rams in 2016, and he’s planning to give everything he has to this team going forward. “I've been here my entire career, and I love this place. Love this team, love this organization. Feel very grateful and blessed to be able to continue playing here… It was a pretty – I don't want to say an easy decision, but this is the place that I want to be,” said Higbee. The team’s coach Sean McVay said that Higbee epitomizes a lot of the things that they’re looking for in the Rams. He praised him for being mentally and physically tough, having versatility, and setting an example every single day. Higbee has been the Ram’s regular starter since 2017, after joining them in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft, and reached a career-high 72 passes last season.
