Yannick Ngakoue Sings $10.5 Million Deal with Chicago Bears

We’ve seen Yannick Ngakoue switch between several NFL teams in recent years, and he’s gearing up for another change of pace. After a year with the Indianapolis Colts, Ngakoue found a new home in Illinois after signing a one-year deal with the Chicago Bears. Ngakoue’s new deal is worth $10.5 million and includes $10 million guaranteed, which is a pretty smart investment on the Bears’ side. Their defensive ends weren’t on top of their game last season, but they can switch around with Ngakoue on their side. The 28-year-old became one of the NFL's most consistent pass-rushers since entering the league in 2016, but he struggled to find a permanent home. After three years with the Jacksonville Jaguars, we’ve seen him spend a year or less with everyone from the Minnesota Vikings and Baltimore Ravens to the Las Vegas Raiders and Indianapolis Colts. Despite being pretty lucrative, Ngakoue’s new deal will only keep him in Chicago for a year and it lacks the stability of a multi-year contract. "I've been to a couple of stops and instead of doing these visits, I'm ready to have a stable home and just to be able to be on a multi-year deal, I can be able to ground myself and start on things, really focusing on my family and trying to start a family, things like that," he previously told SiriusXM NFL Radio.
