Chelsea Scores an Easy Champions League Win Against Lille OSC

Chelsea entered their latest Champions League game as a clear favorite, and they lived up to our expectations. The English Premier League club scored a comfortable win against Lille OSC at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night. Chelsea knocked it out of the park in the very first few minutes of the game, with Kai Havertz scoring an epic opener just eight minutes later. Christian Pulisic led the Blues to a confident 2-0 win with his superb strike in the second half. Despite their win, this game left Chelsea in a difficult position because Hakim Ziyech and Mateo Kovacic both sustained injuries ahead of Sunday's EFL Cup final against Liverpool. Chelsea fans were surprised to see that the team’s star striker Romelu Lukaku was only a substitute in this game, but there’s a reason why the team’s manager Thomas Tuchel felt it’s best that he sits this one out. "Every game is different. The focus today was on intensity and a high-speed game. It was about hard work against the ball, off the ball, and have intensive teamwork. Romelu struggled in the last few games a little bit to deliver that,” explained Tuchel. Chelsea has been dominating every league this season, and their win against Lille comes shortly after they won their very first FIFA Club World Cup title.
