Christian Pulisic Leaves Chelsea After Signing £20 Million Deal with AC Milan

Christian Pulisic’s four-year tenure with Chelsea has been plagued by injuries and disappointment, but it’s slowly coming to an end. The American forward is leaving the Premier League behind after agreeing to a £20 million deal with AC Milan. Chelsea confirmed Pulisic’s transfer in an official statement and thanked him for all his contributions during his time at the club. The 24-year-old scored 26 goals in 145 games with Chelsea, and his new deal will keep him in Milan for four years and includes an option to extend his stay until 2028. Pulisic announced he’s officially singing with AC Milan during a press conference on Thursday and said he’s excited, delighted, and honored to be there. “Everything truly is special at AC Milan. You can breathe in the history, and you just want to come here. The initial talks started when I was away on international duty and, although it took a bit of time to get the agreement sorted, I made the decision to accept early on,” said Pulisic in a statement. Pulisic’s Chelsea exit was just a matter of time even before he put pen to paper. He admitted that the scrutiny he gets while playing for Chelsea has been difficult and admitted he’s more excited to come back to the US and play with the national team because it allows him to step away from the pressure.
