Djokovic Reaches Wimbledon Semis After Comeback Win Against Jannik Sinner

Novak Djokovic entered this year’s Wimbledon as one of the favorites to win the title, but he was down on his luck playing against Jannik Sinner. After losing the first two sets, the tennis superstar made a glorious comeback and eventually proceeded to the semi-finals. Djokovic lost the first two sets 5-7 2-6, but things turned for the better in the next three. He rose to the occasion, and easily defeated Sinner in the next three sets, 6 6-3 6-2 6-2, reaching the semi-finals along the way. The Serbian tennis player admitted that Sinner was the better player for the first two sets, adding that he managed to make a comeback after taking some to refresh and give himself a pep talk. "I had a little pep talk to myself in the mirror, it's the truth. Sometimes in these circumstances when not much is happening positively for you, sometimes these things are necessary. A little break to try and regather the thoughts and reassemble," said Djokovic post-match. Novak Djokovic is set to face the British player Cameron Norrie in the semi-finals. The participants of the second semi-finals match will be determined following the quarter-finals face-offs between Cristian Garín and Nick Kyrgios, and Taylor Fritz and Rafael Nadal.
