Giannis Antetokounmpo Scores Career-High 64 Points Against Pacers

Giannis Antetokounmpo set many records during his time in the NBA, and he’s showing no signs of stopping. The Greek Freak scored a career-high 64 points on Wednesday and helped the Milwaukee Bucks secure an epic 140-126 victory against the Indiana Pacers. Antetokounmpo was on top of his game on Wednesday, and he finished the game with 64 points and 14 rebounds. In addition to scoring his personal career-high, the Greek Freak also broke the Bucks record, previously set by Michael Redd in 2006 with 57 points. Even though breaking records isn’t his priority, Antetokounmpo said it feels great to reach this milestone. “As much as I can, I try to play basketball for the right reason. I try to play basketball to win, try to play basketball to help my teammates be great, but at the end of the day, being able to break this record in front of the fans here in this stadium, it’s a great feeling, too,” said Antetokounmpo. The all-time record for most points in a single game is held by Wilt Chamberlain, with 100 points, followed by Kobe Bryant with 81. Only a handful of active players managed to join them in the 70+ point club, including Donovan Mitchell, Damian Lillard, and Devin Booker.
