Jaylen Brown Ready For Leadership Role Following Record $304 Million Extension

All hell broke loose when Jaylen Brown signed a $304 million extension with the Boston Celtics this summer, setting a new record for the most lucrative deal in NBA history. The Celtics are definitely getting their money's worth with this deal because Brown is ready to take the leadership position and guide the organization to new heights. Brown recently discussed his expectations for the next season, and said he’s ready and willing to be the leader that the Celtics need right now. “I feel great. I feel poised. I feel ready to have a great year. I put in a lot of work trying to make plays, trying to get guys open. Trying to get our offense set. Seeing the game, reading the game. Overall, just being a better basketball player. Can’t wait to show it this year,” said Brown. Jaylen Brown kicked off his NBA career with the Celtics in 2016, after being selected with the third overall pick, and helped the team reach the 2022 NBA Finals. His future in Boston is looking bright after he signed a five-year extension worth $304 million back in July. This is currently the richest deal in NBA history, surpassing Nikola Jokić's $276 million extension with the Denver Nuggets.
