Kylian Mbappe Planning to Leave PSG for Real Madrid This Summer

Kylian Mbappé has been Real Madrid's top transfer target for years, and it seems he’s finally ready to join them. The French striker informed Paris St-Germain he’s planning to leave the club at the end of the season, and it’s been reported he’ll join Madrid later this summer. The rumors about Mbappé’s potential transfer to Real have been following him for years, and he’s finally doing something about them. Mbappé’s contract with PSG is set to expire in June 2024, and he has no intention to renew it again. Mbappé's decision to leave PSG behind doesn’t come as a huge shocker given his rocky relationship with the club. He’s long been in a contract stand-off with PSG amid a desire to join Real Madrid, which resulted in him being exiled from the first-team squad and left out of the club’s touring lineup for their pre-season trip to Asia last summer. Mbappé is yet to officially join Real Madrid, but BBC reports he’s planning to sign a five-year deal with the club, worth €15 million a season, plus a €150 million signing-on bonus to be paid over five years. Mbappé’s exit will be a huge deal for PSG since their star players Lionel Messi and Neymar also left at the end of last season, forcing the French club to change their strategy and build a younger squad.
