Liverpool Reaches FA Cup Final After Defeating Manchester City

The FA Cup final is less than a month away, and one team finally secured its spot in this highly-anticipated clash of the titans. Liverpool defeated Manchester City at Wembley on Saturday night to qualify for the spot in one of England’s most important football events of the year. Liverpool proved their domination right out of the gate and finished the first half with a 3-0 lead. Ibrahima Konate kicked things off with an epic opener nine minutes into the game, and Sadio Mane sealed the deal by scoring another two goals. Manchester City tried to even out the score in the second half, but they couldn’t keep up and eventually lost the game 3-2. Liverpool’s manager Jurgen Klopp knew they’ll have to face a tough opponent to reach the final, but the players made him proud with their incredible performance, especially in the first half. "We respect City so much and it's so difficult to win against them. But because we have these boys in our dressing room we have a chance… We did all the right stuff, we scored in the right moments. We were outstanding. I loved each second of it,” said Klopp. The FA Cup final is set to take place on May 14, and it will see Liverpool face the winner of tonight’s match between Chelsea and Crystal Palace.
