Man City on the Verge of Historic Treble After Winning FA Cup

After being crowned as Premiere League champions, Man City scored another epic triumph on Saturday night. Ilkay Gündogan propelled them to a FA Cup victory against Manchester United at Wembley, and they’re just the Champions League win away from completing the coveted treble. Gündogan was on top of his game on Saturday, and he secured his place in the history books by scoring the quickest goal in the FA Cup finals, just 12 seconds into the game. Bruno Fernandes’ netted a goal for Manchester United 33 minutes later, equalizing the score, but Gündogan came into the second half ready for revenge and eventually led Man City to an epic 2-1 win. Man City is on the verge of a historic treble after this win, and their boss Pep Guardiola believes that their triumph will be incomplete if they fail to win the Champions League. "One more to come, one more to go and we feel that we are in a position we probably will never be again… Premier League to FA Cup to League Cup, but we have to win the Champions League to be recognized how the team deserves to be recognized,” said post-match. Man City will face Inter Milan in Istanbul on June 10, and this marks their second UEFA Champions League final since the loss to Chelsea in 2021. They're on the quest to become only the second English club to complete the treble by winning Premier League, FA Cup, and Champions League in the same year.
