Man City Trash United with Dominant 4-1 Win in Manchester Derby

There’s always a lot of anticipation leading up to the Manchester Derby, but the latest face-off between Manchester City and Manchester United was quite disappointing. Man City scored an easy victory against one of their biggest rivals and finished the game 4-1. Man City knocked it out of the park as soon as they entered the pitch, with Kevin de Bruyne scoring his first goal just five minutes into the game. He was on fire in the first half and netted another goal for Man City, but their domination was put in jeopardy by Jadon Sancho’s goal for United. United’s hopes for victory were demolished in the second half, as Riyad Mahrez single-handedly destroyed their hopes for a comeback. They led Man City to the 4-1 lead by scoring two goals, including an epic shot in the game’s closing moment. Manchester City is currently on top of the Premier League table with six points ahead of Liverpool, but the team's manager Pep Guardiola believes their lead is “fake” and that they shouldn’t relax just yet. “We are trying to win the Premier League with 10 games left. We have to make [claim] almost all the points to be champions. I have the feeling many things are going to happen until the end of the season – tight games are going to happen,” said Guardiola.
